The Laguna Madre offers fishing for boaters or wade fishing, and the gulf with its wonderful beaches offers excellent surf fishing and several charter deep sea fishing or party boats excursions are available. If you have not previously indulged in any of these sports we offer you a park full of friendly people more than willing to initiate you into this sport they all enjoy so much.

  • Have you heard what a great place deep south Texas is for nature lovers offering birding and eco-tourism. The lower Rio Grande Valley has several centers where you may observe wildlife at its best which include the Laguna Atascosa Wildlife Refuge, Santa Ana Wildlife Refuge, Sabal Palms Refuge and several more.

  • If historical or cultural tourism is more of what you are looking for in your travels this area is full of history. Lighthouses, forts, churches, buildings and museums are just a few of the places you can visit to learn about our rich past. As for cultural tourism you may indulge in two different cultures for your entertainment with Mexican culture still very prominent in the area.

  • Would you like to experience life south of the border? Its just a short drive about  an hour away. You can enjoy shopping, cuisine and don't miss out exploring the several border towns in our area. Sign up for a tour and visit their pyramids, see historical building and churches, learn about their customs and culture. While touring you not only get to see Mexico, but you'll make lots of new friends along the way.

  • If big cities are what you like to avoid, Port Isabel offers you the amenities of small town living with two larger cities in close proximity for those necessities that small towns don't offer.
